Formerly the site of a local hotel, The American has been completely  transformed into a modern vacation rental. This fully renovated home retains its charm while offering updated amenities. Located in Williams Bay, WI, it continues to welcome guests, blending historical appeal with contemporary comfort.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The space was perfect for our group of 7. The bedroom downstairs was particularly convenient since we woke up early and didn’t disturb the kids upstairs while they slept in. The property was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The location was ideal, with the lake, an ice cream shop, and several restaurants all within walking distance. We highly recommend this place! We will be rebooking in the future!

We traveled to the Lake Geneva area for a family wedding. Six of us stayed at the house. It was an easy drive to all the local restaurants and attractions. The house was clean and nicely appointed – exactly like the photos and description. Neither of the full bathrooms were ensuite, but that made them more accessible for everyone. The extra half bath was a bonus. The house and accompanying bungalows were part of the hotel and provided a nice, quiet area off the main street. The Frosty Moose was next the entrance and provided sandwiches, snacks, and ice cream – we visited daily. We would recommend this property to others.

Great location in William’s Bay. Close to all the activities that appeal to our family. The beach, kayaking, biking in the nature conservatory, and local ice cream shop. The place is fresh, clean, and well furbished. We enjoyed exploring the countryside and Lake Geneva. Good fun!
